1. Scope
This policy applies to Sandy's sleep and time planning website. The calculator inputs are processed in your browser and are not sent to Sandy. It explains how hosting, analytics and advertising services are handled when those services are active.
2. Calculator inputs
The sleep, week, shift, nap and caffeine calculations run locally in your browser. The values you select are not sent to a server operated by Sandy and are not stored in a database by Sandy. The tools do not require an account.
3. Preferences stored in your browser
The site stores a small number of preferences in your browser's local storage:
- Theme preference.
- Language preference.
- Cookie-settings choice.
These values remain until you clear site data. They are used to remember your choices and are not used by Sandy to identify you across other websites.
4. Contact messages
If you email the published contact address, Sandy receives the information you choose to send, including your email address, message and any attachments. Do not send medical records, identity documents, payment details or other sensitive information.
The contact address is provided through Gmail, so Google processes the email as the email service provider. Routine correspondence is deleted within 24 months unless it is needed to resolve an ongoing issue or comply with a legal obligation.
5. Hosting and security
When the public site is delivered through Cloudflare Pages, Cloudflare may process standard request data such as IP address, browser information, requested URL, timestamp and security events to deliver the site, prevent abuse and maintain service reliability. Cloudflare processes this information under its own privacy terms: Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
6. Analytics
Cloudflare Web Analytics may be used to understand aggregate page views and site performance. Cloudflare Web Analytics is designed to operate without advertising cookies or cross-site behavioral profiles. It does not use the advertising consent choices to enable advertising. Google Analytics is not used to build behavioral advertising profiles. If another analytics provider is introduced, this policy will be updated before that processing begins.
7. Advertising
Google AdSense may be used to support the site. When advertising is active, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers, IP address and similar information to deliver, measure, limit and personalize ads, subject to your choices and applicable law.
Google may use the DoubleClick or Google Advertising Products cookie and related technologies. You can review or change Google ad personalization at Google Ads Settings. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, advertising storage and personalization will be controlled through a Google-certified consent management platform. Non-essential advertising storage will remain denied until the required choice is recorded.
8. Legal bases
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, Sandy relies on consent for non-essential advertising storage and personalization; legitimate interests for responding to messages, securing the site and understanding aggregate site performance; and legal obligations where records must be retained. Consent can be withdrawn through the consent interface or by clearing site data.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data protection authority. Privacy requests can be sent to [email protected].
Sandy does not sell personal information. If personalized advertising is enabled and applicable law treats it as a sale or sharing, the consent interface will provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” choice before that processing occurs.
10. International transfers
Cloudflare, Google and other service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, those providers maintain safeguards for international transfers under their applicable data protection terms.
11. Children
The site is intended for a general audience and is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information through the contact channel, contact Sandy so the message can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.
12. Changes and contact
This policy may be updated when hosting, analytics, advertising or legal requirements change. The date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
